WhatIWore: I have the personality type that can get really excited. So excited that I jump up and down and say outloud “I’m so excited!!!!” over and over again. Like a kiddo at Christmas. That’s how I felt this weekend! Indiana’s homecoming was this weekend and although we lost the game, had a really fun time walking through campus and tailgating with friends (photos to come!).
This is what I wore for the game. When you live in a college town, are an alum and have a major love for IU sports, you’ll rack up a lot of team apparel. This time, I wanted to do something a little different and go for an old school sort of IU outfit. Adam gave me this vintage IU tamoshanter he found online a couple Christmases ago and I recently added this bright red fair isle sweater to my wardrobe. I love how they look together. And for those of you with eagle eyes (I don’t know if you can really see it!), I even wore my Delta Gamma anchor pin (ITB, y’all!) To finish it all off, wearing my favorite bright red lipstick!
When: October 17, 2015
For my original outfit, I had on a different pair of black boots, but when push comes to shove, I decided to wear flat boots. We walked a couple miles to and from the stadium and stood for most of the time we were there. Heels are cute, but there’s a time and place for everything, ya know? Also! For any IU students who are interested, I’ll be giving a talk this Wednesday evening on campus on how to transition your wardrobe from college to career as a part of the Life After IU series.
